This week we are excited to present Christina Ola for our Member Spotlight! We appreciate her determination to help others, not only in her career, but in her free time as well!

Q: What is DialogueDirect and what is your role there?
A: It is a face-to-face fundraising organization and my current role is to be the Operations Coordinator. Face-to-face fundraising is such an exciting way to help our charity partners build relationships with people that truly care for their cause. I started off as a field fundraiser, working outdoors in downtown Chicago and empowering people I met to sponsor a child living in poverty. That experience has been one of the most rewarding things I've ever had the chance to do. Now in my role now I hope to inspire our teams, charity partners, and advocates to continue growing, because it will allow us to give in so many different ways. (Cola@dialoguedirect.com)

Q: Why do you love DialogueDirect?
A: The people. I wanted to quit in my first two weeks! I thought it was too hard. But the people there believed in me and challenged me to use my potential. I feel lucky to be a part of place like that.

Q: What hobbies do you have outside of DialogueDirect?
A: Dancing! I used to be a dance teacher so anywhere I can keep moving, I love it. Another would be Good Knight. It's a Chicago-based charity that focuses on building communities above sexual violence and being a support system for survivors. It started when I was in college and it's always been amazing to see people show up for a cause that was silenced for so long.

Q: How did you end up in Champaign?
A: My better half, Morgan McHale is from good old Monticello! We knew we wanted to raise a family in central Illinois and now with our 1-year old daughter, we love the community even more.

Q: What else do you utilize at Lodgic besides Workplace?
A: Kids Camp! Our little one loves it. The team there is so thoughtful in how they take care of her. It's nice that I can go into the Workplace, focus on my work, and then walk 50 feet to pick her up at the end of the day.

Q: What made you choose Lodgic?
A: The environment. I came in for a tour and it was very welcoming. There's always a space I can have for myself to do my conference calls, or I can work in an open space and socialize a bit. To come to a physical space that I'm excited to walk into helps me be at my best for the day.
